California is hella awesome (that's what the girls say here all the time). Seriously, San Jose is a beautiful place. Whenever I drive anywhere, my eyes can't rest. The hills, mountains, whatever you want to call them are either entirely green with trees or golden with wheat. Silicon Valley is a good place to be.
Yesterday was long with orientation and such, but today the other four interns and myself decided to head out to Santa Cruz, the beach of hippies. We spent our time on the beach, walking the boardwalk, eating at the Falafel Hut, and checking out the seals.
Aren't they cute? I took an insane amount of pictures of them. I'm not sure why, but they are so interesting.
Before we left Santa Cruz, we stopped at Marianne's Ice Cream where I ate the most delicious green leaf tea ice cream. It was a successful day off getting to know more about the other interns especially Eliseo's driving. But seriously, they are spectacular. I am already so blessed with support and new friends.
