motivational interviewing

Every time I look at pretty interior decorating, I try to remind myself the sooner I stop looking at decorating websites and finish my homework the closer I am to being married and making a little home with Logan.

Here's to a spring break '11: full of homework (boo...) and wedding planning (yay!).

registry

I am on a Design Sponge kick. It's sad that I can't seem to find time to try the DIY projects, but that's okay. I'm in a season where that isn't a priority, and while I'd love to say it'd be relaxing, it probably isn't at this point of time (there's a lot of other things to plan and do, I think).

Inspiration from Each Room
1. In the first photo, I am in love with the wood floors and the general open space in the room. It's a room that lets you breathe.
2. It's a good work space. I love walls that fuel creativity. It's a good thing.
3. In the last photo, I love the colors of the wall, the raw wood table, the frames, and the beautiful light fixture.

Well, this was relaxing. Now it's time to start speed reading. I hope you're having an inspiring start to the week. Yesterday was a really good day, full of hope, ideas, facing fears, talking and listening. I hope to write about it soon, but I'm not ready.

Hello Friends!

I could spend hours looking at Apartment Therapy. Not only do they show tours of beautiful homes, but they give practical projects for your own living space. I am planning these two DIY projects for my apartment next year:

romantic cabin

Isn't this darling? A lady turned an old cabin into a romantic little cottage. I want one. I can't get over how magical it is. For more of the story of the cabin, read here.

temporary home

I'm living in California for ten short weeks so I managed to squeeze my necessities into a small carry-on suitcase and backpack. Regardless, I feel content with my little room at Summit.

I'm especially in love with the wardrobe dresser. I wish I could sneak it back to Indiana, but I doubt the airlines will count it as a checked bag. Oh, and I bought another dress (big surprise, right?). I couldn't help myself - it was $10 at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market. I want to wear it to a tea party.

Oh, and do you see those cute teacups? Thank you, Starbucks.
